Aside from great fishing and excellent waters, the beach itself offers beautiful scenery from which you can watch deep sea fishing boats come and go. Many of these services offer several packages to take you out for a fishing excursion. You can start with a half-day excursion, especially if you have never been so far offshore and are uncertain how you will be affected by deep sea fishing. Hampton Bay can offer excellent crops of co, haddock, mackerel, and more from about three miles offshore out to about twelve miles, allowing for a four-hour trip that can satisfy a newcomer and get you acquainted with the process.

In spring and summer deep sea fishing, Hampton Bay anglers tend to target cod, which are especially large and abundant in the area. Other species, though, including haddock, Pollock, wolfish, cusk, hake, mackerel, and bluefish are also commonly found in the bay.
