By using a walk the dog or other topwater retrieval method along the top of vegetation lines and cover, the large bass will literally run to the surface after the jumping minnow. The natural action of the lure plus the retrieval will mimic the action of an injured shad and will bring the aggressive feeding bass to the surface.
