Have you ever been fishing in Idaho? They are known for having over ten of the most exciting wild trout steams, which is why Idaho is known for having the best trout fishing in the world. Almost any species or type of trout can be found in this amazing state making this one of the reasons that fisherman from all over come here to do their fishing in these amazing rivers. It is the fisherman’s dream to have rivers filled with so many trout available for the catch.

Streams such as the Henrys Fork and the St. Joe River are just two of the ones that are considered to be the home of trout that are worthy of the blue-ribbon. Since trout fishing has become so popular the fish and game have developed many regulations that are designed just for families. The areas that are designed for families usually include a limit of six trout or other specified fish, but there are no limits when it comes to the length of the trout. There are no restrictions on the tackle requirements either.

The rainbow trout is the most common species that will be found here followed by the Cutthroat. The Cutthroat is a sought after by many fly fishermen and is considered to be a very exciting catch.
